Welcome,
I began working as an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist in 2007, initially working for an agency and then in private practice. Over this time I have worked with a wide range of client issues including: stress, relationships, depression, anxiety, loss, anger, confidence and abuse.
Counselling offers you a private space to explore various aspects of your life, assisting you with difficulties and making changes in your life. My approach is integrative which enables me to draw on various theories tailoring the counselling to your individual needs. These include: person centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I offer short and long term counselling.
Identifying whether counselling is for you and which type of counsellor is suitable can be a daunting and uncertain task, especially if you have never had counselling before. I therefore offer an initial meeting which gives us an opportunity to meet and identify if counselling is suitable for you. It is also an opportunity to answer any questions.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and therefore adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My training, work experience and any achievement
I hold a Foundation Degree with commendation in Integrative Counselling and NCFE Certificates in Counselling Skills and Theory Level 1, 2 and 3.
I also engage in a minimum of 30 hours’ Continued Professional Development annually. Courses I have taken include: domestic violence, suicide, working creatively, eating disorders and counselling children and families.
